Hello. Great question. Thank you for your pictures. Based on your description and images it seems as it was a piece of suture being removed. It should be normal, but always follow up with your surgeon as he or she is the one who is closely monitoring your results. Best of luck with your recovery. Congratulations on your tummy tuck.
This may be a suture abscess where a small suture knot is making its way out through the skin. Keep the area clean and apply antibiotic ointment.
Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. This appears to be a small area of stitch-related irritation which can be treated with removal of any remaining suture. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. I think it is from a suture. usually they resolve once suture comes out and heal well. Please follow up with your PS
Thank you for your question and photograph. This is most likely from a small dissolvable suture that is making its way out through the skin. Usually removing the suture in total takes care of the problem. it is always best to continue to follow-up with whoever did your surgery so they can follow along with your postop recovery.
Best to see your operative surgeon in a follow up visit. Most likely only wound edge healing issue. But follow up visits very important til fully healed 3 months postop.
This was likely a suture end. If it becomes bothersome your surgeon can address it quickly in the office. Continue to follow your surgeon's advice and keep all follow up appointments.

I have a procedure that I call "waist enhancement," which is tightening of the external oblique fascia that trims and sculpts the waist. Not all patients are candidates nor do all patients want it so I offer it as an add on procedure. It is a fabulous procedure I consider to be the icing on the ...
Hello Aimers,Great question. Thank you for your pictures. I am sorry for your difficulties in recovery. However, it seems your surgeon is doing everything necessary to help you recover. Follow his post op instructions as he is the one who is closely monitoring your recovery. Best of luck with...
Swelling after tummy tuck usually lasts 3 to 6 months, but some patients do not see final results for a year. Healthy people at their ideal weight should have the best overall recovery, but some of this will depend upon the surgical technique and adherence to postoperative protocols. Follow up...
