I am 7 weeks post op. I had a Tummy Tuck and lipo on my arms and back. At night while sleeping, when I move my back heats up for a minute or two until I stop moving. My back really gets hot then it goes away, No redness. I also get hot a lot, but I sit in front of the A/C and cool off. My sister and Mom have started saying, I stay hot, they have noticed the change. I don't have a fever. Is this normal?

Answer: 7 weeks post TT with lipo on my arms and back, and my back heats up whenever I move while sleeping. Is this normal? Recommend that you follow up with the board certified plastic surgeon who performed your lipo and TT. Feeling hot after liposuction has a number of possible causes such as changes in hormone levels following the stress of surgery, nerve regeneration, more movement than normal. Recovery time can take as long as six to eight months. Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
