I’m a 51 y/o male who has had good results with ulthera, fractora and fillers. Because of these treatments, I only have mild to moderate laxity. I want to wait a few more years before getting a face lift. Are there any major differences between SkinTite and Renuvion? My doctor only has Renuvion but I will go to another doctor if skintite is a superior procedure. Will either of these treatments cause filler to metabolize more quickly?
Answer: Face / Non-Surgical Face Lift Thank you for your questionIn our practice, we perform a non-surgical face lift / skin resurfacing treatment using Renuvion Helium Plasma Radiofrequency. To get the most improvement with skin tightening, we combine Renuvion (formerly J-Plasma) with lasers (Fraxel, Clear + Brilliant, CO2), microneedling/PRP, Ultherapy and InMode FaceTite. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Answer: What are the differences, if any, between SkinTyte and Renuvion for facial tightening? Thank you for your question. I would suggest doing some additional research as these are completely different procedures and technologies. Skintyte is a topically applied delivery of laser energy to create skin tightening while Renuvion is subdermal (meaning it requires an incision or surgical procedure) delivery of gas plasma energy to create skin tightening. I would discuss your goals with a board certified plastic surgeon who not only has devices such as these but also offers surgical options as well. That way you can make sure you are getting an honest take on what is best for you rather than someone trying to sell you something on hype because it is all they can offer you.Hope this helps!Dallas R. Answer: Renuvion Thanks for your question. These are two very different forms of treatment. The SkinTyte procedure uses Broad Band Light (BBL) which is similar to a laser that helps to resurface skin and it can provide a small degree of tightening. That is a service we offer, but typically done by our aestheticians. Now, Renuvion is more of a procedure done by a plastic surgeon. This requires incisions (albeit very small) and some form of anesthetic (usually diluted local anesthesia). Published results of Renuvion demonstrate up to 30% skin tightening at 1 year. I'd find a clinic near you that offers both so you can better compare them. Best wishes
