J-Plasma for upper arms. How long is numbness feeling?

One of the most important details you left out is: how long ago was the procedure performed? Numbness is a very common side effect post liposuction, and completely normal. You have to remember that a lot of trauma has occurred underneath the skin when undergoing liposuction and J Plasma. It takes time for the body to heal and the nerves to reestablish themselves. Typically, numbness and tightness can last anywhere from several weeks up to several months. Every surgeon is going to have specific instructions in regards to stretching, exercising, and massage. In our office we want our patients waiting at least a minimum of three weeks before returning to any stretching and/or exercising. Depending upon how far out you are post procedure massage could be uncomfortable and even painful in the above mentioned area.

I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease any swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Everybody has numbness after lipo.  The addition of Renuvion Jplasma may May or May not enhance the numbness.  Either way,  it usually takes  about 3 months for it to return to normal.  Massaging the tissue can help speed up the return  

Thanks for your question. Numbness is very normal after any type of liposuction. Adding Renuvion to the procedure is unlikely to make that any different. It tends to slowly return after a few months. Some degree of numbness may last longer. I do think massage helps, and some compression, but you should get your surgeon's directions on that. Best wishes

Thanks for your question.  Any subnormal procedure can cause temporary numbness.  Usually it lasts 2-3 months but can last longer.  In some cases, it could be permanent but not likely.  

Dear Colorado,As you heal from Liposuction and Renuvion skin tightening, there will be swelling that starts to go down after two weeks, and continues to improve dramatically over the next 6-8weeks.The feeling of numbness, tingling, stiffness and swelling are totally normal, and gets better as the swelling goes down.I encourage my patients to get back into exercise and weight training after two days.
