3wks post BA, my breast Looks Like It Has Dimples and Looks Different, is this normal? (photos)

I had surgery 3 weeks ago and I notice one breast is different than the other and the areola on the left side is far from where it's suppose to be than the right and looks like my right breast has dimples on the incision from the areola to the bottom is this normal? The left one looks normal but the right breast looks kind of lopsided and weird

Dear redbone1.jg,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 3 weeks  post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD

year for you to see the results of your surgery. Without an in-person
examination, it’s impossible to determine the cause of the dimples. It is
important that you are following your surgeon’s post-operative care

The dimpling you see on the incision from the areola to the bottom is normal.  They are areas where deep sutures have been used to bring your tissues together.  They should settle over time as the sutures dissolve and your tissues settle.  Regarding the position of your nipple areolar complex on the left, it will not improve over time and you will need a revision to move it more centrally.  Hope this helps!

Hello and thank you for your question and photo's.   It is normal to have some puckering initially, so give it several months before you see the final result.   If your areola is still not centered at that point, your PS should revise it.

It is early after your surgery and swelling takes time to resolve. You will have to see how things change over a 6 months period. You should discuss your concerns with your surgeon.Good luck

Thanks for your question. Yes, this is not that uncommon when we do breast reductions using that "anchor" pattern. What happens is that vertical part of the incision is kept short because we plan on it stretching just a bit over the next few months. That's why it looks "puckered" in that location. I would not worry about it, just work on massaging that scar as much as possible. Best wishes
