Ammonia for disinfecting Laser Hair Removal device?

I am getting bikini laser hair removal and I m concerned about the sterilization of the hand piece. My Laser nurse says she uses ammonia in between patients. Will Ammonia kill a virus such as Herpes or HPV? I am very concerned about this and there doesn't seem to be sufficient information online.

They are not permanent if you keep them clean and keep using Silvadene and later protect them from sun religiously. Even the lightening that might happen will eventually go away. RegardsDr. J

Laser hair removal cannot cause decreased sensitivity to the nipple area. I suggest you speak to your physician if you are concerned.  Best, Dr. Emer.
