Can periaereolar hair removal by laser cause nerve ending damage of the nipples?

Yesterday I had my first session of laser hair removal around the nipples, today I feel a significant decrease in sensation of the nipples , is this a well established side effect? Could this be permanent?

These are not burns but petechial hemorrhages.  These resolved easily without any problem.  Make sure to protect the legs from sun exposure and apply A lot of moisturizer.RegardsDr. J

Hi Xirenex,You can safely use self-tanner or get a spray tan on your body while undergoing laser hair removal on your face. There is no danger involved in sun exposure immediately after laser hair removal (although that's assuming you always wear spf30+ & sunprotection clothing). The issue is...

This needs a formal evaluation for treatment including skin care and possible laser treatments.  hyperpigmentation needs lightening and hypopigmentation needs latisse and fractional lasers.  Best, Dr. Emer.
