21 year old petite female; can breast reduction help me obtain fuller higher breast? (photos)

Question

21 years old 5'3 ;110lbs and currently a 32DD. After a considerable amount of weight lost with diet and exercise, I've been left with low hanging breast. My breast seem to be mainly composed of excess skin and fat. Seeing as I have a very small frame; I have developed creases on my shoulders, I suffer from back pains and I am very self conscious. I yearn for full much higher Brest. I have attached an image of my goal. Can I obtain that with breast reduction?

This would be an ideal procedure for you.  It will lift and reduce your breast size so you are more comfortable.  There are 2 main techniques the vertical reduction vs the Wise pattern.  The vertical reduction results in less scars avoiding the horizontal inframammary fold incision but is not indicated for very large reductions.  The Wise pattern approach includes that incision but is more appropriate for large reductions.  Which one you undergo depends on how small you would like to go.  Best wishes!

Based on your photos you do have some breast ptosis (saggy breasts) which is common after weight loss. If you are happy with your size then you are looking just for a breast lift (aka Mastopexy).  This procedure removes excess breast skin and redrapes the remaining skin over your breasts bringing them back up on to your chest. If you want smaller breasts, then you could add a small reduction. I am not sure if you would meet the insurance requirements for the amount of tissue that they require be removed. You may not be happy if you reduce them too much. The picture you are looking at is an augmented woman.  The way to get the best result in your case without an implant is to use a technique called a pectorals sling vertical mastopexy.  This differs from conventional vertical breast lifts in that instead of throwing away your tissue at the bottom of the breast, it elevates and transposes that tissue to the top part of your breast creating that high fullness that you are after. There are definitely some things to consider here--a breast reduction will lift and reduce the volume of the breasts, making them smaller but lifted.  It may also improve the fullness in the upper portion of the breast, although they tend to begin to drop again with time due to gravity.  You could consider doing some fat grafting into the upper pole of the breast at the same time as reduction to really augment the upper pole or consider a small implant at the same time for the more "augmented" look which is what you chose for your goal photograph.  That goal look will unlikely be achieved with reduction alone, at least not for a long standing time.  A lift alone will not reduce volume at all but will reposition the breast mound higher.  Please make sure to consult with board-certified plastic surgeons for best recommendations and good luck!

Thank you for your question. Based on your photos and your symptoms you appear to be a good candidate for a breast reduction. This will reduce your overall size to help with your neck/back pain and lift the breasts making them perkier. The image of your goal appears to have implants. Although you can get a great result with a reduction and lift, achieving the appearance of implants is different.
