Is it a good idea to use minoxidil permanently after FUE? I know that for non-transplanted hair, yes. But is it good for the transplanted too? Does your hair get used to minixidil unnecessarily?

Minoxidil is generally recommended after an FUE procedure to preserve existing (non transplanted) hair,
since hair transplantation does not halt androgenetic alopecia, it is necessary to protect and maintain the hair in the treated areas. Minoxidil stimulates the anagen phase, resulting in thicker and stronger hair.

Minoxidil can support the growth process of transplanted hair after surgery and reduce early stage shedding, however, the survival of the new grafts does not heavily depend on minoxidil.

There is no such thing as hair becoming "dependent" on minoxidil, the strengthening and growth of hair driven by minoxidil cease when the medication is discontinued, and the hair begins to weaken again, but this does not constitute dependency.

If you have high cholesterol which can block these capillaries or as we age some people's blood vessels harden, the minoxidil will continue to however exert its effects.
