I have been notified that I may have a hairline fracture in my knee an may potentially have to get a cast to correct that issue. Would I still be able to proceed with getting a bbl if I have a cast on my leg

Thank you for your question, I would recommend you wait until you are completely healed from your knee before having surgery, consult with a board certified PS that you feel comfortable with.

It may be safer to wait, though it is not an absolute recommendation. The issue is not the fracture, the issue is immobilization. After a BBL you can’t sit or lay on your back, so being mobile and able to sqwat is key. See a board certified plastic surgeon who does a ton of BBLs and ask him or her how many BBLs in people with casts have you done? Please be sure to get clearance from your orthopedic surgeon and family physician, and good luck.

It is best to wait before until the knee has healed and you are  no longer being  immobilized before undergoing a BBL
