I am over 6 weeks post-op.. I had a mommy makeover and was told I would have a completely flat tummy. Advice? (photos)

The results of any cosmetic surgery are never exact and perfect. Your results appear to be good and will get better over the next few months. Expectations and preoperative discussion with your surgeon are critical. The itching is normal healing as the nerves are coming back. I would check with your surgeon about the odor from your belly button to make sure there is not an infection.

Based on your pictures it looks like you have good results, you are swollen and will continue to be for at least 6 months, just give it time for everything to settle. Follow up with your PS to discuss your concerns.

Hello good afternoon, you did not messed your results, after a tummy tuck procedure or any other procedure, you have to give your body time to fully heal, swelling takes up to 5-6 months to go completely away, if after that you don't see a flat tummy, you can do liposuction in your lower abdomen, but give it some time first. The itching is caused by the healing of your internal tissue, but also check if it is caused by your body garment.

You are still early in your recovery and will not be able to
see the results until the swelling goes down, which can take months to resolve.
However, without an in-person examination, it’s impossible to determine if anything
abnormal is developing. It is important that you are following your surgeon’s
post-operative care instructions to ensure the best results. We recommend
consulting with your surgeon to further discuss your concerns.

Thank you for your photos and questions.  You are still early in the recovery process and have swelling.  You will not be able to see your final results until 6-9 months after surgery.  I recommend speaking to your surgeon about the foul smell from the belly button area as it could be indicative of an infection.  The itching may be just from the process of healing.  Your surgeon should be able to advise you further after an examination.

You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to 6 months to see your final results. At the stage you are in, swelling is very normal, so i recommend to be patient. 
If you have any concerns, i suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

It is recommended to use the compression belt for a period of three months after the operation. In fact, if you stop using it during the first 15 days of the postoperative period, with a rest of two hours a day, inflammations may occur that affect the intervened area and cause alterations in the desired silhouette.

Overall your shape is great.Certainly,there is extra skin in the middle. I recommend a vertical excision of the extra skin and careful repair. Make sure the skin inflammation is treated using an anti fungal powder first and finish healing.You can also rinse the skin with diluted 5% vinegar. (One shot glass 5%vinegar and 19 shots water). talk to your PS.
