If approved by insurance, do plastic surgeons accept insurance on behalf of tuberous breast reconstruction?

If insurance approves to cover some/all of a tuberous breast reconstructive surgery can any plastic surgeon move forward with this? Currently I’m contact with insurance about operating on severe tuberous breasts as they are considered a congenital deformity that need reconstructive surgery. Thank you.

Unfortunately, tuberous breast are one of those conditions that may or may not be covered by your insurance. it depends on the severity of the condition, the quality of the photos, the insurance policy and reviewer, and on your persistence and fortitude to fight multiple appeals if needed.

Very doubtful any health insurance in today's climate would authorize payment or reimbursement on tuberous breasts deformities. You would need a guarantee written letter from this health insurance company before any plastic surgeon would consider offering surgery. Additionally you are still responsible for all fees incurred if the health insurance company does not pay after the surgery.
