I have had these wrinkles for years now but it’s only recently been getting noticeably worse. I am 18 years old. After some research, I have found that it could possibly be Dennie-Morgan lines and related to allergies. While I do I have allergies, I have them under control and was wondering what else I should do to get ride of the wrinkles. Im currently a first year in college so money’s tight and don’t know if I’ll have any money for surgery if that’s what it requires. Any solutions welcomed.
Answer: Under eye areas As cost is an issue you may want to begin with topical treatments to help improve the skin texture. I encourage you to wear sunscreen every day at a minimum. Later on if your budget allows you can consider laser treatment and/or fillers to help soften the look of the lines.

Answer: Recommend doing treatments such as CO2, Venus Viva, and a small amount of botox to help reduce appliance of wrinkles. Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Lower eyelid wrinkles Dear California As we age our skin changes in ways we often wish it wouldn’t. Brown spots and wrinkles form, making our skin look old, tired and less healthy. What causes skin aging and wrinkles, and how can we prevent them? The number one cause of skin aging and wrinkles is ultraviolet (UV) light exposure from the sun. Every time our skin is exposed to the sun, ultraviolet rays cause a small bit of damage to our skin. UV rays from the sun are present from sun up to sun down and penetrate clouds and car windows. The most damaging UV ray is UVA. We think of the “A” for skin aging. These UVA rays fracture the elastic and collagen fibers in our skin causing the skin to wrinkle and droop. They also bind together parts of our DNA in our skin which can lead to skin cancers. The key to preventing this damage is to wear broad spectrum sunscreen which blocks UVA and UVB rays on a daily basis on all sun exposed parts of the body. My favorite forms of broad spectrum sunblock are mechanical or physical blocks containing Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. If sun damage has already occurred, certain medical products like Retin-A and Hydroquinones have been shown to reverse some of the damage caused by ultraviolet sun exposure. A deeper level of reversal can be achieved with laser and light sources. Broad Based Light treatments have been shown to cause the skin to revert back to a younger genetic state. My deep laser RESET procedure can dramatically remove sun damage and certain early skin cancers and restart a person’s skin back to a younger, healthier and more attractive state. Answer: Treating Eye Bags & Wrinkles? Fillers or surgery Under eye bags and wrinkles can be permanently corrected with surgery or temporarily camouflaged with fillers (Restylane, Belotero, Volbella). There are great non-surgical options to fill in under eye depressions and hollowness. Using dermal fillers, a liquid eye-lift can be performed. A dermal filler such as Restylane would be placed in the cheek and tear trough to hide the depression or bag underneath your eye. Surgery would require a fat-repositioning lower lid blepharoplasty. In this surgical procedure, fat from the eye area is moved into the tear trough depression filling the actual depression. I hope this helps!

Answer: Improving Under Eye with Fillers (Belotero, Volbella, Restylane Silk), Fraxel, Microneedling/PRP A combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often. I suggest consulting with an expert to develop a treatment plan best suited for your short and long term goals. Best, Dr. Emer
