Liposuction pricing is dependent on a lot of things but mainly the expertise of the surgeon and how detailed the procedure. The type of liposuction shouldn't matter as the person using the tool is always better than any tool on its own. I have 5 different devices and customize my approach to each person, their goals, and their body shapes. Anyone discounting for areas or size of the person is really not doing liposculpting, they are doing bulk reduction of fat and that never gives the best results. I stay away from buttock liposuction due to the potential irregularities. It's nice to sculpt the surrounding areas to improve the balance and harmony of the areas. Sculpting usually includes the inner thighs as well as the knees, possibly the outer thighs, tailbone, and waist. The cost can range from $5,000 to $15,000 depending on the amount of areas and the experience of the board certified plastic surgeon. 

The cost of liposuction of the buttock and thighs would depend on several factors that could be determined after a physical exam and discussion of what your goals are.  Some additional information such as photo, height, weight, etc.. could help narrow down an on-line assessment.  In our practice, after a consultation/physical exam an estimate for the time and the type of anesthesia would determine what the cost of the procedure.  A reasonable starting point would be $5-7K. Liposuction is the suction removal of subcutaneous fat. Subcutaneous fat is located just below the surface of the skin and above the muscles and bones. It doesn't remove all of the fat, but it does remove the majority of the fat. The perfect candidate is at or near their ideal body weight and has localized areas of fat that are out of proportion to the rest of the body. It is not a weight reduction technique. It can be used on any area of the body, but it relies on the skin redraping after the fat is removed. So, if you have loose skin, you may end up with wrinkles or folds after the surgery. Some areas respond better to liposuction than others, the lateral thighs always look nice, the inner thighs and arms, not so much. The tummy depends on how loose the skin was to begin with. It does not remove or improve stretch marks. Large amounts of fluid are placed in the subcutaneous fat before the suction begins to reduce bleeding and to numb the skin, this fluid is referred to as tumescent fluid and consists of a balanced salt solution mixed with adrenalin and a local anesthetic. There are 3 choices of anesthesia:Local anesthesia (the patient is awake)Local with sedation (the patient is given a mild sedation)General anesthetic (the patient is asleep)The choice is based upon an agreement between the patient and the surgeon. Liposuction costs depend on the number of areas being treated, the type of anesthesia and where the procedure is done. It should always be done in an accredited facility, no matter the anesthesia. It should also be done by a board certified plastic surgeon, as there are significant risks and complications, up to and including death, that are almost completely preventable. You should also see someone with significant experience in the procedure, as one of the areas you are interested in treating, the buttocks, is fraught with problems.
