Hello, I posted my case here earlier that I'm having thin hair I tried almost everything and i'm trying to conceive so doctors here advised to try PRP but what's new that I was diagnosed with PCOS and the gynecologist said only contraceptive can stop your hair loss but as you're trying to conceive nothing much to do for now. My question as I'm now diagnosed by PCOS can PRP be a solution or at least minimize the hair loss or it won't be useful at all for my case Thank you

PRP is not necessarily a treatment for PCOS or related hair loss.  In other words, you can try it but is may NOT be your solution.  Do more research and see doctors for consultations.

PRP, being part of you, should pose no problem for you in the process of conception. The treatment of your PCOS-related hair loss should be started by your endocrinologist, and PRP can certainly be a part of this therapy plan.

PRP can make hair more dense and thick.  I recommend it be done every 6 months.  If you are going to be pregnant,  I do not recommend it during pregnancy.  However,  your hairloss might get better while your pregnant.

The short answer is that no one knows.  PRP may help, but it may NOT either.  It just has not been tested yet as a standalone therapy for hair loss in PCOS.PRP still falls under the "Probably won't hurt you, but may not help you either." column of hair remedies.  LLLT and minoxidil 5% foam are better bets (and probably cheaper, too!)Good luck!
