Can makeup be applied after microneedling procedures?

Hi, We don't often advise makeup to be applied directly after this particular treatment for 12 hours. However Jane Iredale makeup with is a mineral makeup could safely be worn if necessary.Hope this helps

It is recommended that patients do not apply makeup for 12 hours following a microneedling treatment. Try to keep the skin hydrated and avoid time in the sun for best results. 

Microneedling creates very tiny openings in the skin and it is important to follow the physician's directions after the procedure. But in my experience I allow my patients to apply makeup 3 hours after microneedling because the sites of injections will close immediately right after. After microneedling the most important thing to keep in mind is hydration of the skin and sun avoidance.

I typically recommend 12 hours without makeup- partially to keep either the platelet rich plasma (as with vampire facial) or other serums on the face. The microchannels formes with microneedling allow serums or growth factors etc to reach the dermis, which is the deeper part of your skin, to stimulate collagen growth. After about 12 hours I recommend only mineral based makeup for about 3-4 days. Hope this helps
