Stem cells from plants after microneedling? Is there any reason to think they might actually work?

From everything I've read online, plant stem cells appear to be a gimmick, ineffective. But the well-recommended and well-established MedSpa I'm going to for micro needling uses a serum with plant stem cells only, claiming that people have had good results. Seriously? Is there any reason to think they might actually work? I'm thinking of bringing them a human growth factor serum to put on my face instead, if they are willing to.

This is unlikely to have much benefit. However, I always combine microneedling with prp and lasers to get the best outcomes. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

In my experience plant based growth factors are not as effective as animal or human based ones. PRP is probably the best option since they are your own growth factors being used, but can be on the expensive side. In our practice we use Tensage 40 ampules by Biopelle as an great alternative. We apply it to the skin prior to starting treatment and again when done. Pt also takes 8 ampules home to use 2 times a day for 4 days. This protocol has dramatically improved our results and cut down on facial redness and irritation post treatment.

I am not aware that plant stem cells actually do anything to the skin. It might just work as a moisturizer. In my practice I use the patient's own PRP with micro needling for safer and best results.
