There are different strengths to a blue peel and is is possible that you had a lower strength peel insufficient to cause peeling. Sometimes, peeling may show up by day six but in most cases one would expected before the. Discuss this with your plastic surgeon who will be able to give you his or her opinion on why you're not peeling.
The type of preconditioning of the skin prior to the prep may have affected the final outcome. I recommend using a retinoid program starting 2-4 weeks prior to the Blue peel. See link below for differnt strength retinoid products (Level 1, level 2 and level 3). H Karamanoukian MD FACS
Everyone "peels" at a different rate. The amount of prep and exfoliating you did to your skin ahead of time could be affecting type of reaction your skin is having. I would check with your doctor's office and find out more about the specific treatment you were given. Not everyone peels as much as they might expect.
The amount of peeling that you have following a blue peel can be highly variable. If you already have a good skin care regimen such as one with Retin-A, you may have minimal peeling. Also, the amount of peeling will be dependent on the concentration of the TCA, how fresh the TCA is, and how many coats or how heavily it was applied. The amount of peeling you have may be completely normal for the blue peel.Regards, Dr. Denis Gonyon
