The Obagi Blue Radiance Peel
is a salic acid peel. It should not be used on anyone with an allergy to
aspirin. Some patients with rosacea or
sensitive skin can have a reaction to chemical peels. In this case I would
choose a mild lactic acid to avoid irritation.
Also, the products applied to the skin seven days post peel are very
important as is avoiding sun exposure, chlorine, excessive sweating, steam and
any other facial procedures including waxing for four weeks.

Wash your face at least twice daily with a good facial wash such as Hydrase Soy Facial Cleanser; followed by a ceramide moisturizer such as Elevase Moisture Booster. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles

Based on the pictures you provide, it is not clear if you needed that peel. However, cleanse your facce twice daily with a good facial with Hydrase Soy Facial Cleanser; followed by an Opti-Ceramide cream such as Elevase Moisture Booster.

This form of peeling is what is known as a BHA or Beta Hydroxy Acid peel, or sal. acid peel. The redness can be due to skin irritation (most commonly) or skin allergy (very uncommon). A review of your products can help. My advice is to see a general dermatologist, anti inflammatory creams and tablets can help. Allergy testing can be done at a later stage. All the best, Dr Davin Lim
