I agree with most of the other surgeons here. While a less invasive technology such as Coolsculpting or Kybella is appealing, you may be disappointed with the result. They can address the fatty tissue to an extent, but don't always deal with the excess skin adequately.
During your #consultation, your skin texture and elasticity, as well as your underlying skin structure and your facial bone structure will be evaluated. Based on this evaluation, your board certified plastic surgeons will create a custom surgical plan, detailing specific techniques and recommendations to meet your goals. In doing so, he or she should be sure to have a full understanding of what results you expect. It is possible to #combine #surgeries. In fact, I commonly recommend other procedures to go accompany a facelift, such as blepharoplasty or a midface (cheek) lift, to name a few. The combination of multiple of facial procedures may create an optimal result. The best procedure approach will be discussed in greater detail during your one-on-one #consultation. I invite you to visit PacificCenterPlasticSurgery.com to view a complete list of surgeries commonly performed. If you are not a #candidate, your surgeon can make other suggestions to address your concerns and objectives. It is extremely important to seek a board certified plastic surgeon highly trained with your desired procedures. I also encourage you to look at before and after photos of the surgeons actual patients. Also, reading patient reviews of those who have had combined surgeries will be beneficial. Gathering all of this information will help you make a well-informed decision.
Thank you for your question and pictures. To give a smooth neck without a double chin appearance, neck liposuction will be needed to remove the extra fat, combined with a neck lift to remove lax skin, giving you a contoured neck. A lower facelift is normally combined with a neck lift and will eliminated the skin which has lost elasticity around the jowl area. This procedure can be performed under local anaesthetic, therefore is less invasive than a traditional facelift and there is less scarring, bruising and swelling for a significantly quicker recovery period. There are no bandages, drains and hospital stay but with lasting results of traditional facelift techniques it fits with today's age. Overall the only way to tighten to skin would be via surgical procedures. What are the benefits of local anaesthetic Minimally invasive as it is a short scar faceliftThere is minimal bruising and swelling, especially when compared to traditional faceliftsAs the procedure is performed under local anaesthetic, you can go straight home following the procedureFull recovery in a matter of days rather than monthsSignificantly less risk than Facelifts performed under general anaestheticFresh, youthful and long lasting resultsPlease make sure you find a reputable and qualified plastic surgeon who can assess you properly to give you a realistic idea of what outcome you can achieve. All The Best
It appears that anything but face and neck lift will be short of satisfactory result. In your age that is an excellent procedure to correct current "deformity" of neck and lower face, improve jawline and provide long lasting natural result. Addition of fat grafts in cheeks and around eyes/eyebrows would contribute to youthful fullness of the midface. The most important think in this adventure is to find a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in facial rejuvenation surgery. Good luck.
Based on your photos, you would receive a better result with a face and neck lift, rather than kybella and non surgical tightening. See a qualified and experienced surgeon for a consultation.
You look like you would be a candidate for liposuction. I recommend a formal consultation for VASER liposuction. I find that VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates but Kybella can be used as an alternative with or without thermage/ultherapy/exilis. PDO nova threads can further improve the jawline. See an expert. Best. Dr. Emer
Although there is an implication that somehow Kybella and/or Coolsculpting may play a role in replacing a facelift or necklift, this is incorrect information. Kybella is a bile salt designed to melt fat in the immediate area under the chin and nowhere else. Likewise, Coolsculpting is a method of freezing fat to reduce the volume of fat in a treatment area. The aesthetic problem in the photos shown is not just related to fat. There is also soft tissue laxity, skin excess, and likely platysmal laxity which account for the majority of the appearance of the neck and jowl area. These are issues best dealt with by surgery for the most impressive and longest lasting results.
Great question...Neither Kybella nor Coolsculpting addresses jowling, which seems to be your primary concern. These are non-surgical procedures that target the fat under your chin. While some skin tightening may occur with both of those procedures, it's more of an afterthought than a rule. Based on these photos, you seem to be an excellent candidate for a lifting procedure with concurrent liposuction. I would seek out the consultation of a board certified facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon to review all options in person. Good luck!
Thanks for your post. I would suggest starting with Smartlipo of the chin/neck. This is a safe, short, in-office procedure that has minimal discomfort and downtime. The results slowly become more visible between 6 and 12 weeks. By then, most people have a very nice improvement in their contour. You have some early jowl formation, but I think I'd put off facelifting surgery in your case for another few years. Best wishes.
Do not waste your money and time on the other options that you have named in your question. Your only sensible option that will actually work is surgery.
Hi, I have performed facial shaping and facelifts for over 30 years and have performed many minimally, invasive type facelifts on women in their late twenties and early thirties that had "early jowl" formation. Non smiling photos of your face from the front and side would help in the ev...
If you feel that your face does not reflect how young you feel on the inside, a facelift may be the solution to help you look and feel younger. During your consultation, your doctor will evaluate your skin texture and elasticity, as well as your underlying skin structure and your facial bone ...
This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry...
