Hello! Firstly, thank you very much for answering my question. I am having vaser lipo done in August under Twilight sedation and want to have breast implants done after. Doing them separately for a number of reasons. How long would I need to wait in between procedures? The lipo doctor said six months and the BA doctor said three. Thanks again
Answer: Lipo and breast aug hello, thank you for your question. This is really a Plastic Surgeon and clinic preference. It varies but depending on your health and loss of volume during the liposuction; it can be safe to have them both performed together(higher risk of infection), or you can have it done 3 months apart. Again it comes down to your own individual health and surgical complications along with the Surgeons comfort level.

Answer: Liposuction Unless you are having many areas treated at the same time, you should be able to have a breast augmentation in about 6 weeks after liposuction. However, this is really up to the surgeon you select who will be doing your augmentation.

Answer: Alternative is liposuction and augmentation using fat transfers Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs or told us your bra size. However, another alternative for you to consider instead of liposuction then augmentation is liposuction and augmentation using fat transfer instead of implants. Implants are not lifetime devices. 8% fail within the first year and 30% fail within six years. Fat transfers are permanent and incorporated into the body. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: It depends Every patient will recover differently. I recommends that an average patient after having liposuction, it fully recovers after 2 months, however, your anesthetic might still be inside your body, so I recommended to have the next surgery after 6 months, but doing it after 3 months still fine but you might still be sore from the lipo and your second recovery might take longer than normal.

Answer: Waiting time Dear RSMember485932, every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. You should be fully healed prior to another surgery. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.
