I am booked in for a breast augmentation on April 6th. I am 41, size 6/8 and 161cm. I have had 4 children and breast fed but my surgeon said I definitely don’t need a lift and they are a great shape. I tried on 400/425 and 450. I want a nice shape with some cleavage. My best friend however thinks this is going to look too too heavy (she has had two augmentations) and feels I should be sitting around 350. Any advice?
Answer: Sizes I would suggest meeting with your surgeon and actually trying on the sizes so you can feel the weight and see the difference. I do think the 350 cc implant would look very nice on your.

Answer: Will 400cc/425cc/450cc look too heavy? Hello, Thank you for the question. Implant size discussion and implant selection is one of the most important steps during your consultation with plastic surgeon. The decision-making process depends on patient’s desires, as well as breast and soft tissue dimensions of your chest wall. I also utilize Vectra 3D planning to further help with implant selection. It's difficult to tell without seeing your photos, but typically 350-400cc range size implant will likely give you a nice full cleavage that you desire. I suggest that you seek an in person consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon in order to discuss your goals and concerns for the best cosmetic results. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. I hope this helps.Best regards, Dr. Karanetz Dr. Irena KaranetzBreast Fellowship-TrainedBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Choosing the right size and profile breast implants for you After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Unless your friend measured you, how could she suggest what is right for you. Answer: Size and Profile Selection Good morning, I don't think that sounds like too much for you based on your photos and stats- but the real way to determine size is to try on the implant sizers in your PS office with several different tops to get a good look at what the different sizes will give you!

Answer: Bellesoma Method 450 cc implants weight 1 lb each. Your breasts are already low on the chest wall and will be even lower. The technique I recommend is a lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
