Is liposuction skin supposed to feel soft and mushy?

Hi i had ab lipo about 5 or 6 months ago. The back and flanks is fine but the front of my stomach the skin is soft and mushy. I cant figure out if this is skin or fat? I see some uneveness also. I know its not gonna be 100% perfect but what is going on? Is this normal? My doctor said its good result but i didnt ask about the softness.

Thank you for sharing your question. Without a series of photographs it is difficult to offer definite advice, but if your skin demonstrated laxity prior to liposuction it may be soft and mushy after liposuction due to its inability to "shrink" to your smaller size.  Voice your concerns to your surgeon, they can offer you the best advice.

6 months post-lipo you are likely to have largely recovered from most side effects. Sounds like you are experiencing excess abdominal laxity and some unevenness. Visit you doctor for potential correctional procedures for any visible unevenness.
