Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis. We see atrophic and hypertrophic scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to discuss the best treatment options for your type of skin. . I would wait at least two weeks after your last laser treatment. It is important to be gentile with the skin post laser since the surface of the skin is compromised. Your Doctor will have the best answer as to when you can resume other treatments, as they are the ones who created the treatment plan for you.
Ablative laser resurfacing may take 1-2 weeks or more to heal and this will determine when it is safe to perform HydraFacial. If skin is not adequately epithelialized the HydraFacial will be uncomfortable.I hope this is helpful.Steven L. Greene MD
I use hydrafacial and do ablative laser in my office. The skin does remain sensitive for a good 4 weeks and maybe even longer. You probably can do less intense facials (no microderm or vortex cleanising) after 2 weeks as long as your skin is healed and you have the go ahead from your plastic surgeon.
Depending on how intense the resurfacing treatment was, I would wait a minimum of two weeks up to four weeks...perhaps even longer depending on sensitivity of the skin. There is no need to really rush into a facial treatment. I would ask the treating doctor to advise you based on how your skin is healing.
After having an ablative resurfacing laser the skin will be sensitive and will need time to heal. You don't want to cause any trauma too early to the treated skin as this may cause negative affects to your result. I recommend to my patients to wait 2 weeks for the skin to heal.
Hi!If you are currently using retinols the Hydrafacial can cause peeling in the skin. It is an infused microdermabrasion treatment so it is meant to brighten and lift off dead skin. Your skin is going to look great next week, just keep adding moisture to it and try not to pick off the flaking...
Hello, as long as the toxin is done after the facial treatment it is safe to have them done in the same day.
There is potential that after a HydraFacial you will leave the appointment with some redness due to the suction of the machine but this shouldn't last longer then a few hours. HydraFacial is good for hydrating the skin by removing dead skin buildup and allowing antioxidants, peptides, and...
