What does it mean when it is stated that “deprojecting a nose with thick skin, will make the nose look bigger”? (Photos)

In what ways will the nose look bigger? Would it look bigger from the front (wider, rounder, bulbous) Can’t this be helped with removing a small wedge of nostril? I had a primary rhinoplasty 1 year ago and my surgeon says I have minimal scar tissue and is extremely happy with how I have healed, I am wanting minor revision surgery to deproject my nose, I prefer a flatter looking (baby nose) and don’t mind if it will be rounder, flatter, fatty tip I have included photos. Thank you for your time :)
