Hi, i recently had a dermal filler applied inside a indented surgical scar right between my eyes in the glabella region. It's been around 6 hours since the injection and so far everything feels fine, however i've heard that necrosis can occur and is common around the region i got the filler injected in. Should i be worried? My anxiety is going into overdrive, any advice would be appreciated.

Answer: Necrosis after glabellar filler Thanks for the question. There is nothing for you to worry about. If you were going to suffer from this very rare complication then you would already have pain and visible skin changes by 6 hours. You are correct that the glabellar region is a high risk area but it sounds like you have nothing to worry about. I hope you are pleased with your results. Good luck Dr Chris Macdonald CRM Aesthetics

Answer: Filler necrosis Hi, Thanks for your inquiry. Necrosis, unfortunately, is a complication from filler but not a very common complication. Necrosis normally shows up within a few hours to a couple of days but if any changes are noticed you should return to your injectors office immediately. Good Luck and enjoy your new filler!!!
