I'm a cigar smoker and going to have my revision surgery for BBL tomorrow. Should I be worried about complications?

I am a regular cigar smoker and I realize smoking cigarettes is not good but I take it the same applies for cigars?? I'm frightened I may have some major complications while ik out under tomorrow. Should I be worried more than the average person doing cosmetic surgery?? Please help!!!

Cigars while not usually inhaled, will lead to some smoke inhaled in the air after it is blown out.  It can caused problems with healing.

Yes, nicotine whether from cigarettes or cigars may effect the take of your fat cells. You must either stop smoking all together at least one week before the surgery and a week or more afterwards, or postpone your operation until you can quit. All surgeries carry risks and smoking is documented to increase them. talk to your surgeon. If he, or she, is a board certified plastic surgeon who has done a ton of Brazilian but lifts she, or he, will give you good advice.

Cigar smoking should be stopped at least one month before surgery; some complications are related to cigar smoking as poor wound healing; surgical wound dehiscence, atelectasia. Etc.Communicate to your PS.
