Can Morpheus 8 melt cheek implants?

Hi my question is I have cheek implants which are almost 40 years old. I am getting Morpheus8 for skin tightening and collagen rebuilding. My esthetician is not applying it to the cheek area because she feels there is a possibility it could melt my implants. Is this true? Can she use it over the cheek area at the number 4 level or should she use a lower level for the implant area? I Appreciate whoever can answer my question knowledgeably.

My question to you is: Why are you having an esthetician do your morpheus8?  It is usually docs or nurses performing it and for good reason.  We can make it painless and know how deep to go etc.....  Now to your question.  No, Morpheus won't affect implants.

Microneedling with radiofrequency is a treatment modality that has been around for years. The Morpheous 8 machine is a newer device, and I have personally been using the device for my patients over the last 1 1/2 years.The treatment can range from minimally invasive to much more aggressive. One side requires minimal anesthesia and the other side may require topical, local and oral anesthesia and analgesics. We actually use a Pro Nox machine in aggressive cases. The treatment cannot melt you cheek implant. To attempt to injure the implant on purpose would require very aggressive high power treatment. Needing anesthetics and would also burn the surrounding facial soft tissues.

if someone is telling you this, then they SHOULD NOT be performing any energy based treatments on you as they are not educated in doing any lasers or microneedling RF treatments -- they just do not understand the technology of the science.  the device DOESNT DO that deep and even if it did it wouldnt harm the implant.  id suggest you see an expert! start at home Cosmelan peels and derma rolling (see link) and begin Sente dermal contour as it works great with morpheus to tighten skin.  Best, Dr. Emer.
