There are no negative side effects if you have PRP done after two weeks. The question is do you need one soon after the first treatment. What area of the body you are being treated with PRP is important. In general PRP needs at least 3 weeks to start having any biological effect and in some cases it takes up to 3 months for its full effect. It’s better you wait a little longer before getting it done again.
It can take several weeks for results after prp treatments. I find this procedure is great for rejuvenation but needs to be combined with lasers, fillers, Sculptra for collagen building or skin tightening to get the ultimate results. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Dr. Emer.
Hi nursecyn40,The principle behind microneedling and PRP is collagen induction and allowing your skin to heal. Even if the process is hastened by the growth factors in PRP, two weeks is not enough to appreciate the effects. Your skin is still healing so give it a minimum interval of 6 weeks. All the best,Justin Harper, M.D.
I think it will be ok if you have it again, but I don't think you need it. I usually do it no more than once a month maximum (usually every 3 months ) Good luck.
I don't recommend repeating Vampire Facial after 2 weeks, it takes at least 4-6 weeks to see results. Best to get on the schedule of doing it monthly or every 6 weeks for 3-4 times in a row, then space it out. In the case of Vampire FaceLift which included fillers, the fillers usually last 18 months, so you could ask for modification without filler but still wait for results first.
The results from PRP treatments do not happen overnight. They may take as early as 4-6 weeks. Doing another treatment so soon is overkill and just a waste of money. And even after the 4-6 week mark, the PRP should last you for a year. Some patients may need maintenance at 6 months but most will be good for a year. There are some physician protocols that recommend 1 treatment a month for 3 months for "longer lasting results". Again, I think that is overkill.
Hi naomichambers, Microneedling with PRP or the Vampire Facelift will indeed plump up the face and neck. However, this is not going to replace Botox or fillers. Microneedling is a collagen inducing treatment which is made even better by the use of PRP in vampire facials. The growth factors in th...
I do not think PRP itself causes the increase heart beat. I agree with the other experts here that it is likely due to anxiety. You may take an anti-anxiety medication 30 minutes before your next treatment.
Hi Lynette king, People with hypothyroidism often have dry, thin skin with fine lines. This is something that microneedling with PRP can address readily. What is important are the growth factors in the blood that is collected when your blood is processed. It has nothing to do with the c...
