Everyone has their own protocols. If you have concerns, I recommend following up with your Doctor. For best results with liposuction, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Dear eunit, every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your question. It is not uncommon to give these meds if it is done under local. Most important is the dose. Please talk to your PS for clarification as everybody has their own protocol.
You do not mentionb your height and weight which has a lot to do with how safe some drugs might be for you. Also don't mention the dose of the lorazepam. If you are concerned or have questions, I would check with your physician who I presume is a board certified plastic surgeon.
It is hard to answer without knowing your body weight and the doses but I would say that if you are not confident in the medications or doses that a physician recommends then maybe you would be better off seeking another opinion. Liposuction can be performed under a local anesthetic but it is much more comfortable and can be more aggressive and thorough under a general anesthetic and it is very safe.Sometimes patients think that a local is safer then a general, and in the strictest terms it is true, but when you are going to a facility that doesn’t have the equipment to adequately take care of your air way, or anesthesia personnel that manage patients, and you take a lot of sedation before hand then one must really ask if it is safer?
You have chosen a surgeon to take care of you. Now it seems you do not trust his advice. If that is the case you would be wise to see another physician that you trust.
Thank you for your question. Using a compression garment helps ontrol swelling as the compression on your tissues helps your body to reabsorb the edema fluid that accumulates in the tissues after any procedure. This can take quite some time to happen without help from the compression garments....
Thanks for the question. It’s too early to comment over the result. First couple of weeks after the surgery you can back to work and couple of weeks later your permanent recovery will start. It’s possible to see some major changes in Liposuction results till the end of 12 months recovery....
There are numerous options that can be very effective, including fat grafting, scar release, or additional liposuction. You would need to be examined to determine which is the best option for you. Seek the advice of the PS who performed your thigh lipo.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified P...
