The baby is capable of forcing your pelvis apart to accommodate the size, there is no way a tummy tuck stitch can impinge a baby.

Ideally you would have completed childbearing before having a tummy tuck, but sometimes life happens.  I've had a handful of patients over the years who have become pregnant after undergoing a tummy tuck.  They have done fine and there were no problems with the pregnancy or the baby. Your body will do a remarkable job of changing with pregnancy to allow the baby to grow and you should not have any significant problems.  You may require a touch-up or revision after giving birth if the skin on your abdomen doesn't tighten up again as much as you like. Best of luck!

Nature has a way to allow babies to thrive in utero.  The effect of your estrogens during pregnancy will allow softening and stretching of the fascial layers around the abdomenal cavity to accomodate the enlarging womb.  Any sutures that were placed for muscle imbrication will likely just move with the fascial layers.  Your breast engorgement may stress the Benelli sutures, and the areolar enlargement is to be expected.  Focus on the pregnancy and health first and then discuss your options for regaining body form after delivery and breastfeeding.

Yes, it is possible to carry a baby safely after having the abdominoplasty procedure. In general, it is in your best interest, to be as certain as possible that no more pregnancies are in your future prior to having the tummy tuck. Generally speaking, the “ideal” patient for tummy tuck surgery is one who has completed pregnancies, is psycho socially/emotionally/financially stable, has an excellent social support system surrounding him/her, is capable of arranging enough recovery time, does not smoke and who has reached a long-term stable weight.Pregnancy after abdominoplasty may cause changes that will require further surgery to correct.
