I've had a fever. Chills. I'm on antibiotics, drain was removed at day 3. Is my navel bruised or infected. Please note it's not leaking puss it's dry. I've included day 1 and then day 9 pics (today) I will see my PS in 4 days but have to travel 5 hours.

Answer: Fever It will be very important to clean your incision with thoroughly washed hands, eat nutritious food, drink a lot of water and keep your mind full of positive thoughts. It may be a little Seroma, it may be a stitch reaction, may be fat necrosis, maybe remite area infection (Urine or throat) and might be a incision infection. All above cause fever and the first 3 are not infection and easy to recover from. So please be calm and trust your doctor recommendations. May have Tylenol every 6 h in the mean time. Dr. Cardenas
