Answer: Silicone Implants settle, shape, and soften about 1% a day. Although not a medical term, this process is called, "drop and fluff'. So at 3months or 90 days they have settled about 80%. The total process is about 9 to 12 months. The longer you wait, the better your breast will fit in clothes. 8 weeks is about the earliest. Answer: Mentor Mentor CPG 322 gel, cohesive III implants are made from a silicone shell filled with a proprietary silicone gel called "MemoryGel" which is classified as a cohesive gel, meaning it holds its shape well, and specifically, "Cohesive III" indicates a firmer consistency of this gel within the implant; essentially, the material is medical-grade silicone both for the shell and the gel filling. Key points about the material: Shell: Made from cross-linked silicone elastomer, providing elasticity and integrity to the implant. Gel: "MemoryGel" - a cohesive silicone gel with a "Cohesive III" consistency, which is considered a firmer type of gel. Important detail: All Mentor implants are made from medical-grade silicone materials.
