What's your opinion on Morpheus8 and my scars? (photos)

Question

For a long time I've been wanting to address my acne scarring problems . But due to several factors I never got around to do it . My dermatologist recommends 5 sessions of morpheus 8 plus some 2or 4x chemical peels afterwards. After doing some research on morpheus8 it seems that it's being used more for loose skin and lifts . What's your opinion on what it will do on scars like mines ? Ice pick box car and larges pores ?

Treatment of acne scars depends on the types of scars that you have. Pigmented acne scars respond well to chemical peels and topical depigmentation. Indented acne scars respond well to subcision, RF ablation and laser ablation, fillers, PRP SC, and vbeam laser.

Morpheus is a wonderful treatment for acne scars, usually in combination with IPL to help depigment and smooth out the texture.  Consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon is recommended to make sure your individualized cosmetic plan is most appropriate for you.  kh

Thank you for your question and for attaching photos. Acne scars are difficult to treat and take a lot of time and effort. In my opinion a series of Morpheus8 treatments as well as a series of profractional laser would be a good option. It will take a while and you need to have realistic expectations, but Morpheus8 does a nice job with acne scars. Best of luck.

Hi Nelson. Acne scars need a combination approach for long-term improvement. Everyone has a unique pattern of acne scarring, and most people have various types of scars, so we create a tailored treatment plan for each patient. We often use:- Injectable fillers like Bellafill and Sculptra (with or without subcision) for atrophic, indented scars. - Subcision for depressed, tethered scars. - Lasers such as Fraxel, Erbium, CO2 or fractional radiofrequency (Venus Viva, Skinfinity, Intensif microneedling RF) for textural issues and superficial scarring. - TCA CROSS and punch excision for deep ice pick scars and narrow box car scars. 
All lasers are combined with microneedling/PRP to improve the results and accelerate your healing time. Keep in mind that a personalized combination treatment by an expert physician will give you the improvement you're looking for. Thank you for your question! Although the Morpheus 8 does a great job with remodeling of collagen and skin tightening, it is also suitable for treatment of acne scarring. One of the advantages of treatment with the Morpheus 8 is the uniform effect it has on the skin. If used in combination with other treatments such as PRP and laser ablation, the effects can be even more pronounced.
