I've had rotator cuff surgery & I know I had an I'VE. However, I don't know what was administered after I got in the O.R. I had ZERO negative effect. I'm wondering what type of anesthesia is common during BR surgery & what are common side effects.

Answer: Reduction anesthesia Glad to hear you had such a positive experience. Most reductions are done under general anesthesia, but not all general anesthetics are the same! You don't need the same meds for a reduction as you would for a liver transplant, for example. Consider requesting a copy of your anesthesia medical record, so that if you have surgery in the future, your can provide it to your care team.

Answer: Breast Reduction Hi there and thanks for your question! A breast reduction is usually done under a general anesthesia using a combination of IV medication and inhalation anesthesia through a mask. Patients can sometimes have nausea after general anesthesia, however there are medications made specifically for post-op nausea/vomiting that can help with these symptoms. Hope this helps and best of luck!
