Can I remove the glue that was put on after my breast reduction with nail polish remover?

Skin glues, such as Dermabond, generally breakdown in 7 to 10 days and come off quite easily with a gentle washing.  I have never heard of using nail polish remover, which seems harsh and unnecessary.   Petroleum based ointments such as Vaseline can soften the glue residue and help with removal if necessary.  Best wishes.

I would not recommend using nail polish remover on your incisions. I would try gently wiping with a soft cloth while showering then putting some aloe or other skin lotion to soften the glue. If the glue begins to lift off, you can peel it carefully. Hydrocortisone creme may help with the itching.
