My 6 month old has one eye noticeably smaller than another? A there anything we need to do? (photo)

Our pediatrician just said to watch it. It is even more noticeable when he's tired or smiling. It doesn't seem to affect his vision and his eyes move together. He was born with the smaller eye shut and it didn't open for about 30-45 min after birth.
