From the photo posted, it would appear that the majority of what was removed appeared to be normal scabbing/dried mucus/old blood.  There could possibly be some suture material.  In all likelihood no harm done.  Be sure to follow your surgeon's postop instructions closely.Mario J. This appears to represent crusting from inside the nose.  Sometimes, dissolvable stitches or packing may be inside the nose. If it did not bleed, worsen your breathing or change the appearance of your nose, you are probably OK.  If you are concerned, contact your surgeon
