What is the sign of infection of the nose implant? Had a L shape silicon implant 3 months ago, now I feel dizzy pain the dorsum or nose and headache. What shoul I do? Do I need to remove the implant? My eyes having pain sometimes too. Thank you doctors!

A nasal implant can become infected at anytime after a rhinoplasty.  It typically will occur early after surgery but it can happen years after.  Signs of a nasal implant infection are:1)  Pain2)  Increasing Pain3)  Foul Smell4)  Nose Draining Pus5)  New Redness on the Nose6)  New or Increasing Swelling of the Nose7)  Beginning to See the Appearance of the Implant (erosion through the skin)If you have any questions that your nasal implant could be infected, you need an evaluation and treatment immediately.  The earlier you treat an infection, the better chance it can be taken care of with antibiotics only. I hope this helps.

The signs of infections are as follows:1. Increased pain2.  Redness overlying the skin of the implant3.  Foul smelling nasal drainage4.  Swelling of the nose, cheeks, and/or around the eyesIf you have a question, see your doctor IMMEDIATELY!
