My ears move excessively when I chew, talk or smile and sometimes involuntarily at rest. Can botox treat the issue to eliminate or minimize the movement of my ears? What muscles would need to be injected? Thank you in advance!

Answer: Botox to external ear muscles This is a great question. There are three vestigial muscles that move the ear (the auricularis muscles). Botox can relax these muscles. As an ENT trained facial plastic surgeon, I have operated on these muscles and know their location from doing ear surgery. Whoever injects you should be able to feel the muscle responsible for the pull of your ear and inject into the muscle. Best of luck from Manhattan.

Answer: BOTOX for treating moving ears Some individuals have very active muscles that move ears. Botox will most definitely help your condition. Make sure you're seen either by plastic surgeon like myself or an ENT specialist. Good luck from New York City
