Answer: Biofilm infections may be indolent and may require long courses of antibiotics. I'm happy to see that the coloration of your nose has moved in the right direction. If there is persistent warmth and redness in the area, depending on your examination, a longer course of antibiotics might be necessary to eradicate and indolent infection if one exists. The best recommendation would be to bring your concerns directly to your physician for evaluation and management. If that is not helpful, ask for a second opinion, or consider calling The company of the product that was injected. Wishing you well moving forward. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Probably Resolving Ischemia After 5 Minute Nose Job Procedure Hi and thanks for your question. It looks like what you experienced was probably a bit of compromise to your skin as a result of your filler injection. It does look like it is getting better, so there is no emergency here. You do not need to rush into your provider’s office and the redness will go away. Your injector should, however, help you by treating the redness with IPL or vascular laser and they should not charge you for that because this is likely a complication of their injection. You do not need to have the filler dissolved as long as you continue to improve. This is certainly not normal, but its not a big deal at this point. In the future, I would suggest that someone more experienced inject your nose. Recognizing complications is important. Hope that helps

Answer: You should see your injector Hey there, I agree with the other contributors to your enquiry. Injecting soft tissue fillers into a small tight region puts the small blood vessels in jeopardy sometimes. This can lead to areas that don't get enough blood supply which then subjects it to ischemia and pressure necrosis from the filler which is occupying a lot of space, pulling a lot of water and leading to changes in the skin ie redness, loss of skin etc. The filler may have to be dissolved using an enzyme, it is another completely different injection, this will help remove some of the filler which lessens the amount of product in the area, and the water it has pulled and thereby allow some of the blood to get to that area that is essentially starved for nutrients and oxygen with the decreased blood supply. Another possibility is that you have a soft tissue infection, which means that some of the bacteria may have infiltrated the injection site and are not causing a localized infection, your injector can determine whats best to do you once you visit. Please update us with your condition, hope some of these answers help.

Answer: Nose complication There is a possibility that this represents a vascular occlusion. In other words, product got into a blood vessel and is blocking blood flow. Very dangerous! You must go to your injector immediately and have the filler dissolved. Don't take any chances and go immediately!

Answer: Liquid Rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. The answer is no, this is not normal to have any sort of painful redness 2 weeks out from injection. This could be an infection of a biofilm or even and eschemic event. You need to follow up with your injector and consider having the filler dissolved. But at the very least, you need to be evaluated.
