Had a non surgical nose job this morning I typically have sensitive skin so the bit of redness and swelling is assumed normal and manageable however my nose really hurts. My injecting Dr said to expect pain but this seems a bit much my nose is throbbing and since I got my bridge injected its causing me to have a headache on top of it- the pain is worst now then right after injection this morning.
Answer: Please visit your doctor today. Worsening pain the day of a temporary gel filler nasal injection, may be indicative of an issue that requires immediate attention. Sometimes blood vessels can get blocked and the dissolving enzyme needs to be administered. Wishing you well moving forward. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Answer: Severe Pain After Non Surgical Nose Job Hi and thanks for your question. Pain, aside from some mild tenderness at the tip, after Non Surgical Nose Job is not the norm. You need to see your injector right away. If it is after hours, the injector needs to come in to the clinic and see you. In the meantime, I would suggest massaging your nose if possible, applying warm compresses to the area and taking two aspirin every 4 hours. The danger is that what you are experiencing could be an ischemic event and, if it is, then time is of the essence. Your injector needs to look at you to determine if that is what is going on and if so, use hyaluronidase to dissolve your filler immediately. If you have to go to the Emergency Room or Urgent Care because you cannot get in touch with the clinic that did your injections, make sure to tell the ER doc that what you are experiencing is not an infection, but an ischemic event from filler and you need enzyme injection to reverse the filler and oral steroids to control the swelling. Hope that helps.

Answer: Severe pain following dermal injections If you are experiencing severe pain following any type of dermal injections you should right away go and see your injector. You could be experiencing ischemia or some kind of other nerve damage. Since you mentioned that you've had other injections and know the difference between regular post-injection discomfort and the one you're experiencing now, it is essential that you go and get this taken care of. The pain can be resolved easily with injections of hyaluronidase and it should be done as soon as possible.Best from Boston, Dr. Onir

Answer: Pain after non surgical nose job Please contact your injector and get checked out. There are a lot of blood vessels in the nose that can be occluded when filler is injected. Increasing pain can indicate (among other things) infection, enlarging hematoma or blockage of a vessel which can lead necrosis of the overlying skin. Impossible to say without an exam. Get it looked at asap! Best, Dr. Amy
