Is this normal after breast lift/implants, Vaser Hi Def Lipo on tummy, thighs, flanks, back, and tummy tuck? (photos)

Dear crazysu,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a tummy tuck surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Ultrasonically assisted liposuction have some possibility of creating a burn to the skin which you are experiencing. In your case it looks as though this is partial thickness and should heal with proper wound care. A blemish may result. You certainly should share your postop convalescence with your own surgeon as he will have his own method of management. One thing that is certain is that you are in the early stages of convalescence and many of the issues that are bothering you now should get better.

You are very early in the healing stage to see final results you are still very swollen just be patient for a few months and every thing will settle.Best wishes.

Even though you're quite early post-op, it appears that you did not have  full Tummy tuck but instead you had a mini. From your pre-op photo- I would have not offered a mini tummy tuck- as it is not going to provide the best results as the full TT would. Also, when you have larger implants- the quality of lift is compromised. All of these issues needed to be discussed pre-operatively with your chosen Operating Surgeon. The burns need to be addressed , contact your Surgeon ASAP.

You indicate that you had augmentation mastopexy, abdominoplasty, and extensive liposution. This is a great deal of surgery to have done at one setting with significantly higher risks of complications. In my opinion, it is unwise to undergo this extensive amount of surgery and not be able to receive adequate followup from your surgeon. At this point, I would recommend making an appointment with a local surgeon as soon as possible to evaluate your concerns .

crazysu.   I appreciate your concerns and dilemma and I am afraid yours is just another case of why cosmetic tourism is a bad idea in my opinion. Having your doctor so far away makes it difficult and stressful during the recovery period, especially when there are issues after surgery. Other than the burns from the Liposuction, which do require daily wound care, the rest of your issues should subside as swelling goes down. Full recovery can take as long as 4 to 6 months. I recommend that you try to see a board-certified plastic surgeon in the UK to treat burns and address any other issues. Good luck.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question and photographs and I am sorry to hear of your current concerns.  The first step I would take would be to reach out to your family and tell them of your recent operation.  Feelings of isolation weight heavily on the mind and recovery from such an extensive operation is taxing and requires assistance.  Being able to speak to someone about your concerns would likely make you feel better.  Medically speaking, I would talk to your surgeon, or find a local plastic surgeon, about your knee burn.  This should have local wound care administered in order to allow it to heal quickly and with little impact to your aesthetic results.  Your stomach appears to have swelling along the incision, which is common, and should improve with compression therapy and time.  Depending on any size changes to your implants, it can cause the areola to stretch and this can be revised in the future should you desire.  Remember that you are still only 2 weeks out from surgery and your results will still need time to mature.  Hope this helps.

You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation, bruising and discomfort are very normal.

I'm sorry that you have so many concerns following your surgery.  Some of your concerns may be from swelling, and therefore will improve as healing continues.  The areola area sometimes does become stretched.  If it does to a degree that is unacceptable to you a revision can be done later on.  At this point I would stay in close contact with your surgeon and discuss your concerns.  The burn on your leg needs to be addressed.  Your surgeon should advise you of proper home care, or you can visit with your primary care doctor.
