Is 11 weeks post tummy tuck too soon to go to Disney world?

Assuming all goes well with your surgery (ie no complications) you should be fine to go to Disney world.  There may be some rides that would be uncomfortable (is Space Mountain) but you can always skip the jerky rides.  If you are at all concerned and this is a big family vacation, the safest thing to do would be to postpone surgery until your return.  Have a great trip.

As long as your board certified surgeon clears you and assuming everything goes well then you will be fine.It's important to follow the post operative instructions the surgeon gives you.

There is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery.  The lateer phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens. Usually, patients can return to light activities almost immediately after surgery, normal activities 2 weeks after surgery, and  exercise 4 weeks after surgery.  We usually experience a slow steady improvement for 3 months or so after surgery. If everything goes as planned for your recovery, at 11 weeks you should be ok to go on your trip, although is always best to check with your specific surgeon to make sure youre good to go.

The surgery you will be undergoing is extensive and requires several months to recover. At 11 weeks, you should be able to do most activities, but still can't do heavy exercise or strenuous abdominal work. Assuming you are feeling good and are moving normally, walking around Disney world should be OK. Realize everyone heals differently and complications can occur. To be safe, I would delay your surgery until after your trip. Best to discuss this with your surgeon.

If you heal uneventfully which means no complications, 11 weeks is enough.  That's basically 3 months and I expect my patients to be normal by then without restrictions.  However, your surgeon may have different guidelines and it's important to ask them.  Good luck with surgery and have fun at Disney World.Dr. Smart

It should be fine to go on your trip 11 weeks after your surgery, provided you have healed normally. I would discuss with your plastic surgeon as you are healing and they will be able to clear you to be able to go on rides.

I usually tell my patients they can go back to regular activities after 6 weeks, so you should be fine at 11 weeks consult with your PS and follow his/her instructions.Best wishes.

For my patients I advise them that they should be able to return to full activities including returning to formal type exercises after 6 weeks. You should be fine after 11 weeks, but best to check with your surgeon who knows you best. Good luck.

My patients have no restrictions 6 weeks after surgery.  If you are planning a trip 11 weeks after surgery, that's almost 3 months. Assuming everything goes smoothly after your procedure and you have no complications, you should be fine to go and enjoy yourself there.  However, you need to discuss this with your surgeon.  He or she will let you know if you are ok to go. Even though the final stages of healing are seen after 4-6 months of the surgery, you should feel fine by week 11.
l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.
