Swelling and fever after lip injections with Restylane

Question

I had done my lips and straight after in the night I had fever and my lips are swollen, mostly my top lip feels hard but the bottom one is much better. Should I be worried ? It's been about 17hours after injections.

Thank you for sharing your questions. Swelling is normal following injection of fillers. Your fever is probably not related to the treatment, but you should see your doctor if there is pain or if the symptoms do not resolve in a couple of days. You might want to post photos of your appearance.Good luck,

Swelling is normal.  fever is abnormal. Your fever could be due to the lips or a reaction or something else.  Contact your physician immediately to clarify

Thank you for your question. Lip swelling following injections with Restylane are expected. I suspect the fever is unrelated. I suggest contacting your provider if you have ongoing concerns.

Swelling is not at all unusual after lip injection but fever should not be a problem and is most likely unrelated to the injection
