Hello. On my 12 days post up. I still have crusts on my scalp but been told by my doctor to be gentle until 14th day while washing my hair. The new hair volume though does seem to be low and hair distant between to reflect 3500 grafts (I know this is just post up) Will it be more dense volume after say 12 months post up! Sorry this may be a stupid question but just wanted your professional view on this. Does the density look normal on the 12th day post up? Much appreciated, Many Thanks.

Answer: Results after hair transplant At 12 days post op most of the crust should be gone. In our office, we supply our patients with a goodie bag containing all the necessary items needed post-operatively. The bag includes a special shampoo and a sponge brush. To facilitate softening the crusts that remain beyond day 5 we ask that the patient leave the shampoo foam on the scalp for 5-10 minutes after which the sponge brush is used while rinsing. You need to be patient and wait to see your final results at 12 months. Please see our website which will go through the day by day instructions / expectations, followed by month by month happenings.

Answer: 12 days post Hair Transplant, still have crust and low hair volume, will it be more dense after 12 months? Thank you for the post. At 12 days post procedure, it is normal to see some amount of scabbing. Also, starting day 10 or so, you may even see some of the grafts slowly falling out on their own, creating a thin appearance on the scalp. This is where you have to have patience until around month 4 where roughly you should see around 15% to 20% growth. by 6 months, roughly around 50%. Hope this helps. Best, LAHC team.

Answer: Hair transplant growth It is much too early to judge your result. Early growth has just started at the 3 month mark. At 6 months you will be at only about 50% growth, at 12 months you will be at roughly 90% growth. Remain patient and continue to follow your doctors post op care instructions.

Answer: 12 days post operative I encourage you to soak your head in the tub. I also allow my patients to use their finger tips to gently massage the recipient area, new hair, after a week to help loosen the scabs. Otherwise it looks as I'd expect at 12 days.
