What is the recovery like after intentional breast implant deflation?

I have decided to have my saline breast implant deflated. My doctor has advised me to deflate then wait 6-8 weeks before removal and lift. What can I expect after the deflation of my implants.......recovery time, pain etc.

Aspirating sailing from the prosthesis really doesn't create a significant convalescence. In my practice you would be permitted any activity the very next day. The discomfort should be very modest.

The deflation itself is easy, just a quick needle stick.  You will not need to do this twice as you will walk of out the office completely deflated.  You can resume normal activities immediately.

In office deflation of breast implants should be associated with minimal discomfort during and after the procedure. Patients will have different experiences with the procedure; some breast implants will deflate rather quickly over the course of a few days, some may require additional punctures to achieve the goal of full deflation. Sometimes, as breast implants completely deflate, the patient may experience some discomfort as the empty shell "edges” of the deflated shells irritate the overlying tissues.
