I have crackle sound/feeling in skin after Botox. Is this normal?

Thank you for your question. There may have been a small air bubble injected along with the Botox. Typically any air will be reabsorbed. It is wise not to press the area where Botox was injected for 24 hours. It is always best to contact your injector to discuss any concerns. Best, 

The sound you heard during the injection is normal and is caused when the needle comes into contact with the outer layer of your forehead bone.  The crackling sound you heard after the injection is most likely due to the presence of a small amount of air under the skin.  But don't worry this air will go away and you didn't do any permanent damage by pushing on your skin.

The most likely explanation for your concern is that a small amount of air was injected along with the liquid from the syringe.  When air is below the surface of the skin you can develop what is called "crepitus."  Crepitus is a crackling or popping noise that can be heard when there is air below the skin.  This air will typically reabsorb over the course of 24 hours.  It is highly unlikely that you messed up the results of botox by pressing on it.  You should still enjoy a nice result.

That sound is commonly felt/heard during injections of botox, and can be somewhat alarming to first time patients, especially.  Some say it is the sound of the needle penetrating the muscle, others say it is microscopic air bubbles.  No need to be concerned, it doesn't cause any damage or affect the end result.

This is a normal sound. It has to do with the nerve receptors picking up the neuromodulator. Some people will hear it during injection or soon after injection if they move the affected muscles.
