Your support hose are suppose to be just that supportive.  If they are causing numbness the pressure may be to great and you should remove them and call your doctor for further advice.

If your leg feels numb while wearing the compression hose, take them off for a few hours and see how your leg feels.  Post vein surgery, you may have swelling which can contribute to the numbness as well as the numbness from the anesthesia used.  If no better after several hours without the hose then call your doctor.
