Is my areola color spreading? Is my areola growing back the wrong way? (photos)

Hello and thank you for your question and photo.It appears that you have some areolar necrosis, which has caused the incision to come apart partially at the top.  You also have hyperpigmentation along the incision line, whcih is the cause for the dark color.  It doesn't appear that your areola is spreading.  A revision of the scar may be warranted down the road once you're done healing.  But for now it is important that you perform proper wound care to ensure the best possible outcome.  Be sure to follow your plastic surgeon's recommendations closely. Best of luck to you!

Thank you for your question and picture.  It looks like you have some hyperpigmentation of the incision area but this is not that the areolar color is spreading.  Just follow you PS instructions on wound care and frequent follow up appointments with your PS for the best healing. 

Thank you for your picture. It appears that you have a couple of things going on, one is that you have small wounds of your areola. The second thing is that you have some hyperpigmentation at the edges of your areola. This may be due to the irritation of the wound. I would recommend consistent follow-up with your plastic surgeon.
